You ever sat on the phone with a friend who just talked and talked and talked…. so much so that you could’ve easily gotten up, grabbed a cup of coffee, did a crossword puzzle, and conduct an orchestra on the other end and no one would’ve noticed? Imagine having that kind of discussion about your business with your web developer. Yes, it does happen.
Oftentimes, clients will complain that their developer talked about things they didn’t understand. Logically, since the developer would never put an equal amount of effort into explaining, the client would simply tell them “whatever, just get it done” only to find that in all that techie mumbo jumbo, the developer never really understood the needs of the client in the first place leaving the client disgruntled and unhappy. The developer never listened, and the client never understood.
It simply doesn’t happen that way with Hype IMD. Why? With us, you will have a conversation about your business. What do you do? Who do you reach? Who’s needs are YOU responsible for meeting? Who’s eye are you trying to catch in particular? Teenagers? The wealthy? House hunters? People looking for baby shower gifts? We may be pretty smart here at Hype IMD, but we certainly don’t know more about your business than you do and a conversation has to take place to help us understand where you’re going and how to best get you there.
We talk about what you “think” your needs are. Think is in quotation marks for an honest reason - if you “think” you have to use a certain payment processing system because you heard it’s the only one available; if you “think” the best way to handle updating several hundred pages is ‘copy and paste’; or if you think you can only afford this or that because you heard the cost was astronomical, chances are a discussion with your developer will help clear the air. The theory is that your developer will bring you up to speed and enlighten you so that you can walk together every step of the way knowing what is going on.
In short (or not), at Hype IMD, we ask questions, listen to the answers, and work with you to make the experience enjoyable and pleasant. We talk to you, not at you. And, well, we’re pretty good at it.
